Q: How thick is the Px3 intake manifold gasket?

A: .062 inches or 1/16th.  This is so you do not have to change the studs and bolts for manifold installation

Q: Can I use my stock bolts to install the gasket?

A: Yes you can. Please refer to your manual for installation, or take it to a trusted mechanic to install.

Q: Can I reuse the Gasket?

A: Yes, you can.  After removal you should lay the gasket on a flat surface for 24-48 hours.  This will allow the gasket to regain its original shape. 

Q: What is the downside of blocking the EGR holes in the Extreme version of our gasket?

A: In some vehicles, this may cause the check engine light to come on. It may also be in violation of emission laws in your state. We recommend this version for racing vehicles, not day-to-day use.

Q: You don't have the gasket I need for my vehicle. Can you make one for me if I send you a template?

A: We do accept templates, but we do not guarantee that we will make a gasket specifically for anyone. If we do decide to make it, we cannot guarantee any certain time frame for production.

Q: Is any additional sealant needed to install the Px3 gasket?

A: No. Our gaskets form a seal against the head and the manifold without additional sealant.  Just be sure your two mating surfaces are clean.  It is best to scrape with a razor blade to make sure the surface is clean and smooth.

Q: What is the difference between the regular and extreme version of the Px3 gaskets?

A:The regular version is exactly like your stock gasket. It is made out of our special material, and can be used on street vehicles. Our extreme version has the EGR holes blocked. We recommend this version for racing vehicles. We do not recommend it for day to day street use.

Q: Will the extreme version cause my check engine light to come on?

A: It is possible for your computer to read the blocked EGR holes as an exhaust problem. If this happens, your check engine light will come on. We do not recommend the extreme version of our gaskets for street use.

Q: What is a PX3 gasket made of?

A: Sorry! Trade secret!

Q: Is a Px3 gasket comparable in terms of thermal characteristics to the Hondata heat gasket?

A: Our gaskets are approximately ½ the thickness of a Hondata gasket, but with better heat shielding qualities. A Px3 gasket can withstand constant temperatures of 500° F. It can withstand temperatures of up to 800° F for short periods of time, without warping or melting.

Q: Does the vortex generator really work with my car?

A: Yes. Because the Air Razor (vortex generator) is a universal part for fuel injection engines, it works well with all aftermarket intakes. It comes shipped 4 inches in diameter, but can be adjusted down to 2 inches diameter (and any diameter in between) . We had an engineer design it to be easily modified to fit any size intake hose, including oval shaped hoses. It works on cold air intakes, stock intakes and aftermarket intakes. We also enclose detailed installation and sizing instructions with each one. It's simple to do and only takes a few minutes to install.

Q: How does the Air Razor effect the horse power?

A: The Air Razor can add horsepower and torque across the powerband if installed correctly. You will notice more pep in your driving, especially on the low end.

Q: Where do I install the Air Razor?

A: You install the Air Razor inside the intake hose of your vehicle anywhere between the air box and the throttle body. You may have to experiment with the placement to receive the best performance from the part.

Q: Where do I install the Magnetic Fuel Ionizer?

A: You simply wrap the Magnetic Fuel Ionizer around the fuel feed line as it comes into your engine compartment, or even under the vehicle.  The fuel feed line is usually the smaller diameter line coming from your fuel tank to your fuel rail.  The fuel rail is usually attached to the intake manifold and holds the fuel injectors in place.

If you have trouble locating your fuel feed line, a quick stop at an auto parts store (i.e. autozone, advanced autoparts), or your trusted mechanic, and someone will likely be able to point it out for you very quickly.

Q: How do I install the Magnetic Fuel Ionizer?

A: The Fuel Ionizer is a compact but powerful design made from a tough strap of hook and loop material.  You simply wrap it around the fuel line, wrapping one end of the Fuel Ionizer over the other and pressing firmly.  This allows the material to hook together and hold itself in place.
